Words with Z

Z scores 10 points in English Wordfeud. Rather than keeping it while waiting for a long word, look for short combinations that fit your rack and the available board space.

How to use Z in Wordfeud

FEZ, ZAP, ZIP and ZOO give you different vowel and consonant combinations. Four-letter options include ZERO, ZEST, ZINC and ZONE. We have selected words with one Z so they are useful with a single Z tile; a blank can provide an additional Z in other words.

ZAP has 15 tile points: Z (10), A (1) and P (4). With a newly placed Z on a free triple-letter square, that becomes 35 before word bonuses or crossing words. A blank representing Z always contributes 0 points.

Letter and word bonuses apply only when a tile is first placed on their square. If you substitute a blank, subtract that letter’s value from the table score. Check every crossing word too. Read the Wordfeud rules and scoring guide for the full calculation.

The English word finder checks your rack letters, blanks and an optional board sequence. To use every letter exactly once, try the anagram solver. The search guide explains how to add board letters.

Dictionary and game compatibility

All listed words are checked against our ENABLE 2K source. It is not an exact match for Wordfeud’s current US or international dictionaries. A listed word can be rejected by your game, and some accepted words are missing here. This is an independent study aid, not an official word-validity ruling.
