Q is worth 10 points in English Wordfeud. Short Q words can help you use it without waiting for a long word or the perfect rack. The tables below are selected words from our ENABLE 2K dictionary, with base Wordfeud tile scores.

These 19 examples are a selection, not every word containing Q. Words are grouped by length, with higher tile scores first. Scores use English Wordfeud values, which differ from Scrabble and Words With Friends.

Words with Q without U

You do not always need U to make a word with Q. The following ENABLE 2K entries contain no U anywhere in the word. QAT is a three-letter starting point; QAID and QOPH need four letters. Some of these are uncommon, so check the dictionary selected in your game.

Words such as SUQ and SUQS appear in the short-Q table but not here: both contain U. A word may break the usual QU sequence without being a word with no U.

How to use Q in Wordfeud

Start with QAT or QUA if you have little room. With four letters, QUIT, QUIP and QUIZ give you more options. This list has no two-letter Q entry because our ENABLE 2K source does not contain one; it is not a complete list of words accepted by every game dictionary.

QUIT has 14 tile points: Q (10), U (2), I (1) and T (1). A newly placed Q on a free triple-letter square raises that to 34 before any word bonuses or crossing words.

Letter and word bonuses apply only when a tile is first placed on their square. If you substitute a blank, subtract that letter’s value from the table score. Check every crossing word too. Read the Wordfeud rules and scoring guide for the full calculation.
